I want to become a member of DST my GPA is a 2.75 exact its not the best and i will work on it.?
I plan on taking the class over that decreased my gpa this fall. I also want to attend a rush this fall and continue the process in becoming apart of delta sigma theta. I am very much so involved on campus and i did express my interest in becoming a delta to one of the delta members from my school. I am involved with plenty of community service activities and i will start attending their events when i get back to school. I was wondering if my gpa will ruin my chances in becoming apart of Delta Sigma Theta during the fall.
I am not a member, but I know that sororities have a ton of interest and look for the best of the best. You have met the requirements which is great for one. Yet, having the best or worst in one section may not exactly ruin your chances. Depending on the members in the local chapter and the other applicants, they will chose based on a number of different qualities. Definitely keep your community service up. This is a MAJOR thing that they look for. Make sure to attend as many events as possible so that they members get to know you better. When it comes time for them to vote, you want to make sure that they have a positive, personal experience of you. This will help greatly with them overlooking you having the minimum GPA.
