2 year old Chihuahua won't adjust to new home?
Hello, I am a Chihuahua breeder and am giving a 2 year old female to a wonderful home. Ebony loves being here with me and the other Chi's. My neighbor and good friend has taken Ebony to her home to do a trial run before Ebony goes to her new forever home. She will not eat or drink. Today she was able to get the doggie door blank out and came running back to my house. I am very afraid to send her to a new home if she can't adjust to my neighbor's. She loves my neighbor. Go figure. Any suggestions?
I think she is lonesome for her friends. Chi's are little as you know and she has been depending on you and them for company and safety. Safety in numbers for this group of dogs. I think if your neighbor is up to it you should sent a friend with her to see if it helps just for an experiment. Just to let you know I have three of them myself and they are always together.
