Is A 12 Gauge Fin Stabilized OC Tear Gas Rocket round great for Home Defense?

I wouldn't recommend it for home defense. If you are serious about home protection you need to be using 00 buck shot or hollow point slugs, although i recommend 00 buck over slugs. For one your talking about using ammunition that costs $10.00 per cartridge, and its a non-lethal round that i guarantee you will be noneffective. Think about that your saying, your talking about discharging a tear gas device in an enclosed room... if the guy is hopped up on drugs it wont effect him much and it will effect you, even if it effects him he can still charge at you, which is just as likely as him running. 00 Buck is as cheap as $0.60 per cartridge, and will stop the intruder with one well placed shot. If your really serious about home defense you will use real, lethal ammunition, and you should use the most effective.
I use a Remington 870 shotgun for home defense, its loaded at all times. The first round is LE grade 00 Buck, and the rest are hollow point deer slugs. and that is what i would recommend to everyone. Non-lethal rounds for defense are a joke, your life and the lives of your loved ones aren't, are they?
Remember Its better to be judged by 12, than carried by 6.
