100,000 BTU gas furnace-How much house can it handle?
Can a 100,000 btu furnace adequately heat a 2,650 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, 2.5 brick ranch on a slab? It is a house I am looking to buy and currently they have one furance for the main part of the home and a seperate hvac system for the family room which was added on, which is 20' by 27'. I would like to have ducts from the main furnace added to heat and cool the family room, rather than use two systems. Any thoughts?

If you have 5 tons of cooling, you should be okay, Although it's borderline. Good luck.
