The Koran teaches respect for animals and the environment?
A negative things about Biblical Christianity and Judaism is that animals (And nature in general) are treated with little or no respect. In fact, the Old Testament contains many passages where the people are responsible the slaughter and burning of innocent animals "sacrifice" on the altar for his own sins / crimes and animal slavery is being considered as a standard as it is today. However, I have heard that Buddhism encourages respect for animals, but I wondered if Islam do or not. So can a Muslim scholar or a person familiar with the Koran Muslim tell me whether or not he taught any respect for the natural creation of God including animals and the environment? To clarify: the animals of course, I mean people (I think animals are high-level individuals aware) biological species and more than 6 billion human beings overpopulation of the planet.
u said that Islam did not give animals respest ... Islam is the most merciful to humans and animals, plants, etc. .. In Qran Allah says .. "You (the people) give mercy species on earth, then he (Allah) have mercy on u ". In a story told by the Prophet Mohd.One day, a man walking in a place then see a dog is very thirsty for water. Then he takes water from a well in his shoes and gave the man what will dog.that heaven. another story, a cruel woman tied a cat for a full ... and has not given any food for cats ... it goes to hell. So many stories such as that spoken by the Prophet Mohd (PBUH) .. stories he tells us to animals Mercyful .. not for timepass. In hadis (Mohd life and words). it no right of urine in ants pits. I have a poor knowledge in English ...
