How do I change the accessory on a Black & Decker Rotary Tool?
Leave unplugged first. flip small lever out and forward near accessory end, which should lock the motor. If you are just changing a cutting wheel, use a small screwdriver to unscrew the little screw at the end of the spinning shaft and replace wheel and tighten screw (make sure to replace little rubber washer, if applic., to avoid vibration. If you are changing the entire accessory AND shaft that it mounts on, then use the small wrench provided, or use the appropriate sized wrench on the flats just below where the shaft enters the tool (arbor). unscrew until it almost comes off and pull the accessory shaft directly out of the tool. replace with desired accessory and re-tighten. Then unluck the lever to disengage the lock and you should be good to go.
