What is a good drum set to begin on?
I want to get a drum set by the end of the year but have no drum experience.
1. When I try to play at the store, my coordination with the bass drum and all of the other drums is not that great, is this normal for a beginner?
2. What is a pretty good set? I don't want to get an incredibly cheap one that won't last. I would like the drums to be good, I can upgrade cymbals later.

Yo Dude. Why not go on ebay and get a good scond hand for cheap. Drums are not like guitars where they break and all that stuff. Chekc out Tama or Pearl on ebay. As far as coordination, that is normal. You have to use all your limbs independently. You start with the two hands and then, add the left foot and the right foot.
Eventually, everyting will fall into place.
