My washing machine aeg lavamat 6252 stopped turning (tumble or the round thing) - what can I do?
It takes water and the programme knob does all the turning, but the thing does not turn and does not spin either. I can't here the motor working either. Time for a new one? Or can I fix it?
Check whether the drive belt is still intact, it could be slipping or the brushes could have gone in the motor.Both quite easy and cheap to fix if you are mechanically minded or know someome who is.
you could always get a local firm to check it, but they usually make a callout charge.
