I just took my guinea pig to the vet and he gave him an antibactic an ambi pen and he just lay around i just?
hand feed him some of then pellets and he ate it and he drank the vita men water himself but he is still breathing he eat a little lay down he is not his self is he ok he is 8mo old i just remember that when i was holding him he fell could that be that he is injury and never showed it at all what to do?
What antibiotic did the vet give your guinea pig? See what it says on the prescription and spell it correctly. Any medicine with penicillin, such as amoxicillin or bactrin, will kill your guinea pig. What is "Ambi Pen"???
Take your guinea pig back to the vet and demand an x-ray. If you dropped your guinea pig, it must have any x-ray to make sure no bones are broken. While you are at the vet, have him check the medicine list at www.guinealynx.info to make sure he didn't give your guinea pig the wrong medicine!
