How does this affect the opportunity cost of your choice?
You have decided to major in biology rather than computer science. A news report suggests that the salaries of computer science majors are increasing. How does this affect the opportunity cost of your choice?
Opportunity cost... ha? I personally think career/educational decisions should be more passion/dream driven. I define opportunity cost as the cost of having to regret that you didn't pursue what you had a passion for, just to avoid risks. Going by that definition, I'd suggest you go into any field that you like and see yourself dwelling into. Money can always be made easy through lot of ways. And coming to computer science major... you don't really need to major in it to work in that field. The field had very low entry barriers and you can easily get into a well paying job with just some basic training... As you progress in your career you can ofcourse increase it with experience. Have fun!!
